ABOUT

Gary

My name is Gary Barrell. I am now 52 years young and have owned and cared for multiple dogs my whole life. I too had a normal 9-5 job in city and struggled to get someone to care for my dogs whilst I worked. One day whilst out walking my dogs, I saw a dog walker arrive, she opened the back
ofher van and dogs ran out into the road and she had no control of them whatsoever. I looked down at my dogs sitting beside me, well behaved and then knew I had to put this right.

DogRunners was born within a few weeks and I left my long term career. I don't just walk your dogs, I train them at the same time. I don't just walk dogs in local park but we go on adventures in the forests and country parks, in lakes and ponds and we don't stop to check our watches.

I hold a diploma in Dog Communication and I also work with Floris Friends Rescue as a dog trainer, fostering and rehabilitating extremely nervous dogs that have had very little contact with the outside world and many have lived their whole lives in cages with little or no hope.

I also own 5 dogs myself and understand the importance of good pet care and the challenges it brings.
